Homes and Apartments

The energy of your home will depend entirely on you.  I always teach my clients you are a product of your environment, your create your environment subconsciously and your subconscious is a reflection of your moods, attitude and feelings.

So, whatever you are feeling about life or what ever is happening in your life, it will reflect in your home. I always teach Home=You. Start to change your home and you will start to change your life.

From the suburb you select, the number of your home, the type of home, right down to the colours and decor - it is all telling a story.  Your story.

Colours start from the outside of your home with the roof, mailbox, fences, garden right through to the walls, colour, decor and paintings inside.

Over the last few years we have seen more and more of the browns, beiges and grey come into the decor of our homes.  I have noticed even on some occasions black becoming a colour on a wall in a bedroom.

What you have to remember is that Interior Designers are human beings and what they are thinking and feeling about life they will create in the colours that they use and the designs they promote.  You as a person who may be going through exactly the same dramas and feelings in your life will admire and think their designs are fabulous.  That is because you and the designer are both experiencing the same energy in your lives.  It is only some like myself who comes along and asks questions like are you stuck at the moment? Do you not know what you want or where you want to go in life?  The client then says, yes, how do you know?  I reply, well every where you go in your home you have the colour brown which gives a feeling of being stuck, you have lots of greys which indicates that you don't know where to go or what to do.  It is that simple.

One of the most important rooms to work with in our home is your bedroom, your bedroom represents your identity.  The bedroom needs to reflects exactly who you are and want you want in life. This is the room that will often need the most work. Not a room to try and work out the colours and decor by yourself.

Children's bedrooms are also important.  As a parent, how life is treating you will be the way you decorate and design your children's bedroom.

To give you an example take a look a the picture of a little boy's bedroom below.   When I was contacted to consult with this couple the young boy was experiencing continual health problems.  The parents at the same time were experiencing major financial problems.   When couples start to experience financial drainage or have a feeling of financial drowning happening in their life they will start to go for blue, blue and more blue. With this little boy his bedroom was painted blue, his sheets, pillows and bedspread was blue, he had a blue mat, his cupboard were blue.  Certainly there were other colours but the main colour was the blue.  He even slept most nights in blue pjs.

All we did with this little boy's room was start to cut back on the blue.  We had only one feature wall of blue. We changed his mat, his cupboards, his sheets and pillow cases and we brought in lots of other colours to give him the feeling of stability.  It took only days after the changes before you could see a difference in the attitude of the little boy, his health and after a short period the parents saw improvements in their finances- to the point that within 6 months they were back on track.

Take a look around your home and note what are the colours that you have the most.  Take a look at the pictures on your walls.  Are they happy or are they sad.  What is the energy that you feel when you enter your home or any of your rooms.

Do you find people do not visit often or do not stay long.  Often if this happens then there is a problem with the energy in your environment.

Little changes can make create amazing outcomes.
